For 2017 we have been nominated!
All of us at SCTV are very pleased and proud to be nominated for an RTS North Award for Invented in the North West featuring Professor Danielle George and featuring three inventions that came out of the North West and transformed the nation.
From steam-powered submarines to magnificent women and their flying machines, from miniature spy photos to World War II-winning ideas. Professor Danielle George goes on a mission of discovery to uncover the unsung inventors of the north west who changed the world when it comes to defence on air, sea and land.

For 2016 we have been nominated!
Very pleased and proud to be nominated for RTS North Award for best multi platform for King Lear the film along with the Talawa Theatre Company and The Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. The film has been on BBC iPlayer and on the British Council’s Shakespeare Lives site. It had an international premiere at The Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival with Don Warrington, the film's star, in attendance. It will be screened free in October at cinemas across the country as part of Black History Month.
The first screening on October 14th 2016 is at City Hall and is supported by the Mayor of London. The Manchester screening is on 26th October at Home. It will also shortly be broadcast on BBC 4. The production was directed for the stage by Michael Buffong and for Screen by Bridget Caldwell. The film and learning resources were made in association with Lion Eyes TV production services.
